Is boys super Finals schedule out now?
Nothing on the Futures website yet. It should be out very soon I would think.
Duplicate thread.
Big weekend of water polo on the boys side. What is the outlook on the older age groups heading into SuperFinals? Im assuming all the games will be live-streamed.
Does anyone have a link to the schedule for this weekendâs boysâ Super Finals?
Yes, it is in main thread â 2025 Futures Super Finals - Menâ .
Anyone else fully let down by GOLS live stream? It was working about an hour ago, now itâs just a GOLS screen saver that repeats and repeats. Seems that way in 6+ other channels. I ge this is difficult, but when its marketed as the option and you pay $30 bucks, the very least you can expect is the video stream, Finding enough announcers is hard, but at least stream the gameâŚ
As implied in another thread, at this point, itâs shame on me for thinking it would be better.
I donât know if anyone is watching the Mountain View stream, but the kid with the headset on can be heard all the way across the pool deck.
âWhat was he thinking with the shot?!â
âOh come on you got to be better than that!â
Donât know how itâs coming across online but seems very passionate about calling what he sees.
14 & under D1 - The pacific zone did very well. CCU 2-0 , Stanford beat Patriot and Lamo beat Del Mar.
Quite the opposite for 16s and 18s. SoCal teams were very successful against NorCal teams today. Many of those were upsets based on seeding. With the seeding so bad, the structure of advancing the top 8 to the top 12 automatically is looking suspect.
This is what I was explaining with the girls!
I think if you look more closely, Gibson, the Nor Cal teams actually did about what youâd expect in the 18s and 16s.
For the 18s, in the top group, Lamo & SF were seeded last, so (as expected) lost their games against the higher-seeded SoCal teams. CCU and Stanford, both seeded #2, were 1-2 against SoCal teams, but both losses were in shootouts (and CCU beat Del Mar by 3). That seems both close and about right.
For the 16s, in the top tier, Atherton was seeded No. 4, so (as expected) lost both their games against SoCal teams, but both losses were only by 1. The remaining NorCal teams were 3-3 against SoCal teams. Seems about even.
Weâll see what happens in the crossover games on Saturday, of course. But as of now, I donât think you can say that the NorCal teams have underperformed, or that the seeding â or the creation of a âtop tierâ as a bonus for regular season finish â is unwarranted.
(This from a SoCal observer, I might add.)
I wasnât saying they underperformed. I just said it appears SoCal teams won more games over NorCal and some of those were upsets. It could be some NorCal teams âupsetâ SoCal teams too. In 18s, Atherton, NorCal and Diablo were all higher seeds that lost their first game to a SoCal team. Itâs really not that big a deal but the alternating seedings are not great.
can someone please explain to me how in the 18U if you get second in your bracket you are playing for 13-20. if you get third in your bracket you play a cross with a first place team and are playing for 9-12 if you lose that game. someone F-d up. should be a 1-2 cross not a 1-3âŚ
There are 2 âmini tournamentsâ. The top 8 as well as 9-20. The bottom teams in the Top 8 will play crossover games against the 4 teams that go 2-0 in the 9-20 bracket. If a team goes 1-1 in the 9-20 bracket, the best they can do is 13-20.
Today if it was the same one, was on a roll and he was having fun calling the game
I will say I will miss him todayâŚespecially during the games where shootouts happened. He was physically animated the entire time and extremely enthusiastic.
Some pools have no announcer which is disappointing. We have no idea who is doing what.
