I saw an Instagram post that The Dodds have signed with LAAC. Can someone please explain with this signing means?

LAAC will probably win next year’s National League Championship.
Even though Ryder will still be at UCLA, he can play with another team in National League? I’m assuming he discussed this with Adam Wright before signing with LAAC.
They will play for UCLA as long as they are there I’d assume. They will likely play overseas as long as they are on the national team. So maybe they get Chase for a season if he is still taking classes next Spring.

Perhaps the “signing” is just for senior nationals?

LAAC “signed” Ryder Dodd earlier this season as well, maybe it means they’ll play at some competition like masters nationals but it might also mean nothing and be pure hype.

Thank you for the responses. I thought I was missing something when I saw the IG post but looks like it’s still unclear how this affects the players or water polo in general.
