The hum-drum uniformity of some of those countries’ championships makes the NCAA tournament look like a hobgoblin of inconsistency in comparison. (I’m looking particularly at you, Italy and Greece.)
Ironically, a team being very good ends up being a problem in this type of competition since there are no surprises and consequently less excitement.
