Would somebody please explain to me why our sport has become hypnotized with thinking that the NCAA is the singularly most valuable growth vehicle for our sport? If growth in the number of college teams participating is our main goal, then why limit ourselves to the NCAA model… particularly when the NCAA itself locked in a strategic tussle with an open-market, competitive marketplace for athletes, teams, revenue, and even its very existence? I mean some folks on this thread want to spend $10million dollars investing in NCAA growth, something our sport has absolutely zero control over. Please help me understand better… really!
