Del Mar vs CCU in the first one could be good too. It is a rematch of the semi-finals of Evan Cousineau where CCU scored 3 goals in the last 2 minutes to take it to a shoot out. Del Mar took the victory but only after the Del Mar goalie was thrown out of the game for excessive celebration.
If games go they way they could, it will be interesting to see Del Mar face Lamo again.

Del Mar playing without 2 starters in the tournament and their leading scorer apparently out sick this morning (according to chatter). Their goalie is an absolute menace in the best possible way.
12-8 Del Mar in the final over Lamo and they take their 4th straight Champions Cup. Incredibly well-coached and well-executed gameplan by Del Mar had them up 5-1 out of the gate.
CCU over Mission 13-9 for bronze.
Patriot girls were untouchable all weekend and beat Newport 11-4 for gold. Diablo over 805 in a shootout win for bronze.
Other than coaching Del Mar’s 14u blue team, does anyone know what Connor Virjee is doing these days?

Solid win Coach Cyrus. It seems the rumors of Del Mar’s 14u demise have been greatly exaggerated.
Hahaha… greatly exaggerated, indeed. And don’t tell anyone, but 5 of the kids on that team are first-year 14s and back next year.
Wolf does coach the 14u Team during the season. He didn’t coach this weekend because Santa Barbara played Long Beach on Saturday and USC on Sunday.
Connor Virjee is coaching 14u at Del Mar and is assisting Tommy Corcoran at Cathedral Catholic. Great pick up for CC and Del Mar.
